Mentor System

Studying away from home and living abroad can be a little bit scary in the beginning. Everything is new and exciting and you don’t know where to go in your new surroundings. ESN Groningen can offer you a mentor to help you survive your first couple of weeks in the city. We will assign you to a Dutch mentor who will pick you up from the central station as you arrive for the first time. He or she can bring you to your accommodation and give you a tour of the University. They will help you find the nearest grocery shops and help you with getting to know your way through Groningen by bike. As your mentor is also a student in Groningen he or she can introduce you to the great student life as well. Apart from that, you can keep in touch with your mentor during your stay in Groningen and meet up for dinners or integration activities organised by ESN.

 If you are interested in getting a mentor send an email to mic@esn-groningen.nl Make sure you do this before the 1st of August 2010, when the registration period for the first semester ends.
