What is the ACLO?
As an international student in Groningen you are blessed with the best student sports organisation of the Netherlands: the ACLO! If you are a student of the University of Groningen or Hanze University you can play sports for just €39,- per semester. However only if you stay less then six months. It is also possible to purchase an ACLO-sports card for €52 which is valit for the academic year in which you will buy the card. The ACLO Sports Centre is the place where yearly 18.000 students make use of different sports facilities in a student-like setting. From Zumba to skiing, and from soccer to capoeira, you’ll find it here! The ACLO offers more than 80 different kind of sports.
 
 
How can I get an ACLO-sports card?
Take €39,-; your student card and a certificate of the university to proof that you will study in Groningen for half a year  to the Sports Centre information desk during working days between 8.30 and 19.00 hrs and purchase your own ACLO-sports card.

 
 
What can I do with my ACLO-sports card?
The ACLO offers sports in different ways:
Open hours: Classes where you can just walk in and participate without any obligations.
Courses: You have to enrol in advance on our website to follow a course for 5 or 10 weeks.
Free bookings: To play tennis, squash, futsal or something else with friends, just call and book a court or hall via www.aclosport.nl.
Sports Associations: There are 49 sports associations affiliated to the ACLO.
