The SKLO is the umbrella organisation for religious and philosophically oriented students’ associations and organizations in Groningen. We would like to give every student in Groningen an opportunity to come to grips with the big questions of life, by stimulating and facilitating initiatives that foster discussion about religious and philosophically oriented issues. The SKLO encourages students to reflect on who they are, on their outlook on life and on their role in society. With a varied programme of activities we aim to contribute to the students’ intellectual and spiritual development.
We are an association in Groningen for international students and young professions. As a christian group, we offer the internationals coming to Groiningen a place to meet, make new friends from all over the world and encounter God. We participate in the worldwide Christian student organisation IFES (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students). If you study in Groningen or plan to do so and you want to meet fellow dutch and international students, come to an activity of HOST!
Every Friday we provide fun activities, such as cultural everning, games- and movie nights and fellowship and discussion evenings on various subjects. Furhtermore, we offer weekly Biblestudy groups in which you meet each other in small personal groups. If you want to know more about faith and the life of Jezus you can sign up for our Basic Biblestudy group. Two times a year we go a weekend away to one of the dutch islands. Everybody is welcome to visit our activities! If you want more information have a look at our facebookpage Host Groningen, website or send a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
We hope that HOST will be a place for you where you’ll feel at home away from home!
GSp is one of the facilities for RUG and Hanze students.
It focuses on the philosophy of life and society the way other facilities concern culture (Usva) and sports (ACLO).GSp is a place where religious and philosophical interests of students are meaningfully related to contemporary development in society and the world of science and scholarship as well as to their personal life and history. You can meet other students, have a drink and broaden your perspectives by contemplating about sense and nonsense, religion and life.
We are Generation Church (GC), the youth ministry of the Helperkerk. For students (age 12-25) we host GC meetings on sunday evenings, special events and small groups during the week. Why do we do all this stuff? Because we´re passionate about God´s life-changing power to a new generation.
Are you looking for a fun place meeting new friends and experiencing the reality of God in your life? You are more than welcome at GC!!
