Get involved

From Friday, February 4th, until Wednesday, February 9th, 2022, ESN Groningen is organising the ESN Introduction Week. During this week, 600 international and Dutch students that are new in Groningen will be given a warm welcome through all types of events… and we need YOU to help us out! Would you like to lead a group of international students during the Introduction Week and make them feel welcome in Groningen?

Then sign up as an Introduction Guide! Being an Introduction Guide is FREE and includes the following:

  • You will get access to all events of the Introduction Week.
  • You will receive a Goodie Bag.
  • You will receive an Introduction Guide T-shirt.
  • Most importantly, you will have a great week where you will meet many new people and attend many different events while helping new international students feel at home in Groningen!

The programme from Monday the 7th of February until Wednesday the 9th of February is primarily in the evening, so you don’t have to miss any university courses during the day!

You can sign up together with a friend or by yourself. If you sign up alone, we will pair you up with another guide!

Please note that depending on the COVID-19 measures, the size of your Introduction group might change. We will update you well in advance about this. The maximum number of participants in your group is +/- 16 people. In case a group of more than 8 participants is allowed, you will have an Introduction Guide partner!

Please note that during the Introduction Week, there will be events that are only accessible with the EU Digital COVID Certificate (DCC). If you have been vaccinated or if you recovered outside the EU, this means that you need a QR code in the CoronaCheck app in order to access the event. More information about the CoronaCheck app can be found here.
