The Buddy and Integration Committee presents: Beercantus!
Do you enjoy drinking beer? Do you enjoy singing (even if you are not very good at it)? Then the next BIC event is perfect for you!
On Tuesday, 26th November the BIC will be hosting a Beercantus. Just like bikes, tulips and the colour orange, this is a very Dutch tradition and an experience you do not want to miss!
A beercantus is exactly what it sounds like: a group of people sit around a long table, drink beers and sing songs together. Everyone at the cantus has the lyrics of the songs and sings together when the BIC president tells you to. The rest of our lovely BIC committee members will pay close attention to the festivities and make sure that everyone is singing enthusiastically. We will have some very
creative ways to encourage everyone to sing on the night so you better join in. We will also be playing some traditional Dutch games during the evening.
The beercantus will take place at Villa Volonté. We will begin the festivities at 9:30pm on 26th of November. The dresscode for the evening is DUTCH! We want to see people wearing orange or
looking like a living Dutch flag. Anyone that doesn’t follow the dress code will be punished. You have been warned!
Tickets cost €8,-. With your ticket you will get free beers during the cantus. After the cantus a beer will be just €1 in Villa Volonté so it’s the perfect place to stay and hang out with the BIC! You can buy
your ticket at the ESN office (Pelsterstraat 23) during opening hours (Monday-Friday between 13:00- 16:00, Thursdays until 19:00) or via the ticket link below.
So grab as much orange as you can and come along to our very Dutch evening of singing, fun and punishments!
