Are you looking for a challenge? Do you want to experience the international student life in Groningen to the fullest? And do you want to develop yourself personally and professionally?
Joining the ESN Groningen Board is the perfect opportunity for you!
ESN Groningen is one of the largest ESN sections in Europe. We organise over 150 activities and 2 large Introduction Week. Next to that, we have several structural programs that run throughout the year. In total, over 6,000 international students in Groningen are connected to ESN. As a Board member, you will be in charge of this organisation and together with 60 committee members, 300 Introduction Guides and 250 Buddies you will help every international student make the most out of their stay in Groningen, while facilitating the integration of international students with the Dutch (student) culture.
As a member of the Board, you will be in charge of the biggest international student organisation in Groningen for an entire year. This means that you will not only organise amazing events and Introduction Weeks, but you will also represent the interests of international students towards the University of Groningen, the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, the municipality of Groningen and other relevant parties, through close cooperation. Through the work that you do, you will be able to fully develop yourself on a personal and professional level while building your CV.
Next to this, you will be socializing and networking with other Boards and enthusiastic volunteers at social events and in national and international conferences all over Europe – and, since you are at the heart of the international student community of Groningen, you will be in touch with students from all over the world throughout the entire year! The board year starts parttime in May 2020, and full-time from August 2020 onward.
The executive board consists out of 6 students with the following positions: President, Secretary, Treasurer, External Relations Coordinator, PR Coordinator and Integration Coordinator. Read more about what all these functions entail here.
There will be an information evening organised in March. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us! We would be glad to give you more information or just chat with you about the Board. You can send us an email at email@example.com, give us a call (0503637176) or send us a message via our Facebook page.
You can apply by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your CV and a motivation letter.
