Apply for the ESN Executive Board 2024-2025!

Not sure what to do after your studies? Want to make the most out of your time as a student in Groningen? Keen to make an impact and create memorable experiences for 6,000+ students? Joining the ESN Groningen Executive Board is the perfect opportunity for you.

Why ESN Groningen?

ESN Groningen is the biggest international student organisation in Groningen and one of the largest ESN sections in Europe. We organise over 150 activities and 2 large Introduction Weeks, the biggest one being in September and welcoming over 2,000 international and Dutch students to Groningen. Next to that, we have four structural programmes that run throughout the year, 11 committees with 60+ members, 250 Buddies, and 350+ Introduction Guides combined. Moreover, our General Board and Council of Advice will be there for you throughout the entire year to direct you and help you with your bigger projects, making sure you create memorable experiences for students in Groningen. Sounds good? There’s a lot more to expect!

What to expect?

As a member of the Executive Board, you will be in charge of the organisation for an entire year. This means that you will not only organise unforgettable events and Introduction Weeks, but you will also represent the interests of international and internationally-oriented students towards the University of Groningen, the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, the municipality of Groningen, and other relevant parties through close cooperation. This is a great way to leave a lasting legacy in the city of Groningen and in the hearts of many students. The Executive Board consists of six students with the following positions: President, Secretary, Treasurer, External Relations Coordinator, Public Relations Coordinator, and Integration Coordinator. The board year starts part-time in June 2024 and becomes full-time from August 2024 onwards.
