Amélie Ryan-Borde – Secretary ESN Groningen Board 2024/2025

Hello everyone! My name is Amélie Ryan-Borde, the Secretary on the 37th Executive Board of ESN Groningen. I am 21 years old and I study the LLB International & European Law at the UG. Previously I was part of the Buddy & Integration Committee in 2023 and then the Active Members committee the following year. I have also participated as Crew and Introduction Guide during previous Introduction Weeks. In my free time I love to spend time with friends, play piano or go for a run.

Position description

The Secretary position has many clear tasks. For example, I am the main contact person for any questions from students and organisations. Furthermore, I am responsible for taking the minutes during meetings. Next to that, I am responsible for the weekly newsletter as well as sending out emails or invitations to keep everyone up to date. Adding to that, I am responsible for the privacy policy of ESN. I am also the board responsible for two awesome committees: the Sports Committee and the Social Erasmus Committee!

Another thing the board is responsible for is the organization of the Introduction Week. For the Introduction Weeks I am responsible for recruiting the Introduction Guides who make these weeks the success that they are. Next to that, I am the organizer of the legendary Pub Crawl at the start of the Introduction Week as well as the Band Night.
